Europe . Manchester: England is Expensive (but not expansive)

Friday, September 15th, 2006

We arrived in Manchester and we have found that England's transit system is complicated. We missed our stop because we couldn't open a door. It was so sad watching our stop come, then go. Apparently there is some sort of button pressing that our automatic-door-minds were totally unprepared for. Luckily the locals were nice and helpful (meaning that they shoved us out of the way at the next stop and pushed the requisite button :P ).

At Castlefield Urban Park (the first of many tourist destinations), we had to take an outdoor elevator (seriously, it was just an elevator sitting out in the open). It was sketchy. And smelly. It was sketchy because it was smelly. PEE smelly. Ew.

We saw some shweet holograms at the Museum of Science and Industry. It was totally like the holodeck from Star Trek, yo.

Oh, and British commercials are crazy. I don't wanna talk about it.

Peace out,

-Mostly Tyler and some Jenny-
